Indianapolis, Ind. | Florida A&M football is one of the few HBCUs to be represented at the 2022 NFL Scouting Combine as Rattlers' safety
Markquese Bell has the opportunity to further impress NFL franchises on Sunday, March 6.
"We are extremely excited about being able to watch
Markquese Bell participate in the NFL Scouting Combine this weekend!" said head coach
Willie Simmons. "The career he was able to put together at FAMU was one of the best individually in recent memory. We do not doubt that he will show everyone in attendance this weekend what we at FAMU and across HBCU football already know and that he is one of the best football players in America!"
Markquese Bell was at Florida A&M for three years and had two seasons for the Rattlers. For two years, Bell was the Dark Clouds Defense leader and finished his career with 158 total tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, ten pass breakups, six interceptions, five forced fumbles, and two sacks.
Bell finished the 2021 season on the All-SWAC First Team Defense, Stats Perform FCS First Team All-American, First Team Hero Sports All-American, Boxtorow All-American, and was named a Buck Buchanan Finalist. Also, Bell participated in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
