Florida A&M Softball Hosts Mississippi Valley State for Weekend Series

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | Florida A&M softball to host Mississippi Valley State this weekend for their SWAC home-opener.

The Rattlers traveled to Montgomery and lost all their games to Alabama State.

Scouting the Rattlers
• The Rattlers are third in the SWAC and 32nd in the nation in stolen bases per game, averaging 1.74.
• Jania Davis is among the best in the nation, ranking 37th in stolen bases with 12.
• Destiny Cuevas has been the Rattlers' top hitter as she ranks top-ten in the SWAC in home runs (1st, 3), hits (5th, 20), doubles (5th, 5), slugging percentage (9th, .590), and runs scored (10th, 12).

Scouting the Delta Devils
• The Delta Devils have one of the best defensive units in the SWAC as they're ranked 2nd in fielding percentage and 3rd in doubles per game.
• The Delta Devils are the worst hitting team in the SWAC as they're ranked last in batting average, on-base percentage, and runs scored.

Admission for the games is $5 (cash only) for the public and free for FAMU students.
