Rattlers Fall to Grambling

GRAMBLING, La. | Florida A&M women's basketball held a slim lead at the end of the opening quarter but otherwise trailed Grambling State in an 84-59 loss Saturday afternoon (Feb. 26). Anisja Harris and Malerie Brooks led the team in scoring with 18 and 13 points, respectively.

FAMU closes out its road schedule at Southern this Monday at 6:30 p.m. ET.

An evenly matched first quarter captured two ties and a lead change en route to FAMU's 17-16 advantage. However, GSU notched 12 unanswered points at the start of the following stanza, halted by back-to-back layups from Staysha Allen, and remained ahead by double-digits the rest of the way.

Jamaryn Blair recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and four assists in another complete game, to co-lead the team in boards alongside Brooks.
