Women’s Hoops Returns to Al Lawson Center

The Last Outing | Florida A&M women's basketball came out on the winning side of a 60-58 overtime decision over Alcorn State. 
  • FAMU is 2-0 this season in games decided by three points or less
  • Staysha Allen left the court with her first career double-double on a career-high 16 rebounds and 11 points

  • Malerie Brooks remained on the floor the entire 40 minutes at Jackson State (Feb. 12)
  • With a 22-point night at Alcorn, Anisja Harris has now recorded six games with 20-plus; she ties with Dylan Horton in the category to co-lead the team

SWAC Standings | Jackson State currently sits atop the Southwestern Athletic Conference with an unblemished 13-0 mark in league play. Alabama State (9-4) is in sole possession of the No. 2 spot and four teams (Prairie View A&M, Alabama A&M, Southern, and Texas Southern) tie for third with an 8-5 record. 
 
The top eight seeds will qualify for the 2022 SWAC Basketball Tournament (March 9-12) in Birmingham, Ala. FAMU is presently ranked 10th.
