JACKSONVILLE, FL --Dylan Horton totaled 23 points, but the Florida A&M women's basketball team fell to the Jacksonville Dolphins 74-54 on the road Thursday.

Horton led the Rattlers (2-9) with 23 points and four steals. Mide Oriyomi also tacked on four points, six rebounds and four steals and Eliya Ellis helped out with six points.

Florida A&M collected 27 rebounds in Thursday's game compared to Jacksonville's 20, led by Oriyomi's six boards.

Florida A&M forced 13 Jacksonville turnovers. The Rattlers turned those takeaways into nine points on the other end of the floor. Horton's four steals led the way for Florida A&M.

How It Happened

Florida A&M struggled out of the gate, falling behind 21-11 at the end of the first quarter.

The Rattlers continued to lose ground in the second quarter and faced a 37-24 halftime deficit.

Jacksonville continued to increase its lead after halftime, building a 43-26 advantage before Florida A&M went on an 8-0 run to trim its deficit to 43-34 with 6:15 to go in the third. Jacksonville countered and stretched its lead to 58-45 heading into the fourth.

Florida A&M could not pull any closer in the fourth, losing by a final of 74-54. Florida A&M took advantage of its opportunities in the post, scoring eight of its nine points in the paint.
