Rattlers Travel to Rupp Arena for First Time in History, Second Game Versus Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. | Florida A&M men's basketball travel to Lexington to play the Kentucky Wildcats Wednesday, December 21, at 7 p.m. after a close game at Louisville on Saturday.
 
The Rattlers travel to Rupp Arena for the first time in program history as they prepare to take on the Wildcats for the second time. The Rattlers played the Wildcats in the 2004 NCAA Tournament, losing to Kentucky 96-76 in the first round. Terrence Woods led the Rattlers with 24 points.

Scouting the Rattlers
• The Rattlers are coming off a 6-point loss at Louisville as Jordan Tillmon scored a career-high 17 points.
Jordan Tillmon leads the Rattlers in scoring (10 PPG). Jaylen Bates (9.6 PPG), Jordan Chatman (8.6 PPG), and Byron Smith (8.1 PPG) are behind Tillmon, as the Rattlers have four averaging 8+ PPG.
• Bates leads the Rattlers in rebounds, averaging 7.1 RPG and double-doubles with two (both in wins).
• The Rattlers' strength this season has been crashing the offensive glass, as they're ranked 77th in the nation, averaging 12 offensive rebounds per game. 
 
Scouting the Wildcats
• The 19th-ranked Wildcats are coming off their third loss of the season, losing to the UCLA Bruins 63-53 in Madison Square Garden. The Wildcats are 6-0 in Rupp Arena this season.
• The Wildcats have four players averaging 10+ points per game as Oscar Tshiebwe (#34) leads them averaging 15.1 PPG. The other three are Antonio Reeves (#12) at 13.1 PPG, Jacob Toppin (#0) at 11.2 PPG, and Cason Wallace (#22) at 10.6 PPG.
• Oscar Tshiebwe (#34) is not only their leading scorer but also their leading rebounder, averaging 13.4 RPG (2nd most in the nation).
• The Wildcats' offense runs through Sahvir Wheeler (#2) as he leads the team in assists (6.4 APG), which is 8th in the nation. Wheeler also averages 9.2 PPG.
