Women's basketball returns home to face Sam Houston

Florida A&M women's basketball (1-5) will return to Al Lawson after a three-game road trip to take on Sam Houston Saturday afternoon. 


Who: Florida A&M (1-5, 0-0 SWAC) vs. Sam Houston (2-3, 0-0 WAC)

When: Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2:00 p.m. 

Where: Al Lawson Center


The Last Outing | The Rattlers are coming off a 52-62 loss to South Alabama. Ivet Subirats and Mide Oriyomi combined to score 34 total points. The Rattlers defense forced 20 turnovers, collected 11 offensive boards, and had a team-high eight rebounds from Mide Oriyomi. The Rattlers had two players score in double figures, led by Subirats, who had 17 points, four assists, and five steals. Oriyomi tacked on 17 points and two blocks, and Skylar Baltezegar added four points and two steals.

Welcome Back, Malerie | Malerie Brooks made her season debut against South Alabama after nursing a high-ankle sprain suffered during training camp. Against South Alabama, Brooks played 17 minutes and contributed six points, a rebound, and a steal. 

Getting To The Line | Ahriahna Grizzle has done a tremendous job getting to the free throw line this season. She is almost perfect from the charity stripe, going 18/20, which leads the team.
