TALLAHASSEE, FL | Florida A&M women's basketball emerged victorious in their home opener, defeating Georgia State 65-57 Tuesday afternoon at Al Lawson.
At halftime, the Panthers took a 30-28 lead into the locker room. The Rattlers took the lead in the third and never looked back after Mide Oriyomi hit a jumper to close the quarter, giving the Rattlers a 42-40 lead. Ahriahna Grizzle took over the game scoring 10 points in the fourth on free throws.
Grizzle was the Rattlers leading scorer with 18 points, followed by Dylan Horton with 15.
Rattlers travel to East Lansing for their match-up against Michigan State Thursday, November 17, at 7:00 p.m. on the Big Ten Plus Network.
