Xavier Smith, Kendall Bohler Earn SWAC Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Florida A&M football's wide receiver Xavier Smith and defensive back Kendall Bohler earned SWAC honors for their performances in the 21-14 win at Alabama State.

Xavier Smith - Offensive Player of the Week
The Hornets could not stop Xavier Smith, finishing with 13 receptions for a season-high 145 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Kendall Bohler - Specialist of the Week
Bohler blocked an Alabama State field goal attempt and returned it 51-yards for a touchdown this past weekend to help propel the Florida A&M Rattlers to a key league win. The block happened as the Hornets attempted a potential game-winning 53-yard field goal as time expired. FAMU subsequently won the game by a score of 21-14, capping off the eighth straight win for the Rattlers.

The Rattlers travel to Orlando, Florida, for the annual Florida Blue Florida Classic versus the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats Saturday, November 19, at 2:30 p.m. Eastern.
