TALLAHASSEE, Fla. | The Florida A&M volleyball team will play inside the Al Lawson Center one last time this season in a Friday (Nov. 5) match against Bethune-Cookman. 'Senior Day' is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Senior Day
Florida A&M will recognize seven seniors ahead of Friday's competition: Jessa Long, Kalen Blathers, Karina Pressoir, Radka Dimitrova, Aybuke Kocabiyik, Alexys Mann, and Dominique Washington. Arrive early to join in on the festivities!

Scouting the Rattlers
- The Rattlers have won six straight matches en route to a second-place ranking in Southwestern Athletic Conference standings. Jackson State (11-12, 11-1) currently sits atop the list. FAMU handed the Tigers their lone loss in league play on a 3-0 sweep (Oct. 25).

- FAMU has swept 15 opponents this season.

- The team now commands a 22-9 record at home over the last three seasons, starred by an unblemished 7-0 mark in 2017.

Gokhan Yilmaz secured his 50th as a head coach in the 3-0 decision over Alcorn State (Oct. 10); he compiled 17 in a single season at Charlotte and has 40 at the helm of FAMU.

- A 3-2 triumph over Auburn (Sept. 17) marked FAMU's first win against a Power 5 institution since 2006.

- Florida A&M holds the No. 1 spot in the SWAC in several statistical categories, including assists per set (12.22), hitting percentage (.259), match win-loss percentage (.760), and kills per set (13.65).  The team is also 19th in the country in aces (1.88).

- The Rattlers have recorded 10+ service aces in four games this season: Alabama State (10), Texas Southern (11), Mississippi Valley (12), and Prairie View A&M (16). Dominique Turner and Irem Ucar guide the category with 26 and 24, respectively.

Washington currently ranks sixth in the country in total kills (412) and seventh in points per set (4.96). The graduate outsider hitter is also the only athlete in the SWAC with at least 300 kills.

- Ucar is always available to lend a helping hand and leads the SWAC (ranking 41st in the nation) in assists per set (10.43).

- Long also leads the SWAC with 5.17 digs per game (18th in the country).

Scouting the Opposition
The Rattlers swept B-CU, 3-0, in Daytona Beach earlier this season; the visitors hope to avoid their fifth consecutive loss after posting back-to-back wins over Alabama A&M (Oct. 17) and Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 22).
