Rattlers Prepare for Highlanders

11/25/2021 6:38:00 PM

RIVERSIDE, Calif. | Florida A&M men's basketball is in Riverside for the final game of their three-game road trip as they look for their first road win of the season.

The Rattlers look to bounce back into the win column after losses to Miami and UTEP.

MJ Randolph Looks to Spread Ball

Randolph also looks to get his teammates involved more after only having one assist in El Paso. Randolph is more than capable of doing so as he ranks 46th in the nation averaging five assists per game, and has an assist-to-turnover margin of 2.5.

Scoring Leaders

The Rattlers currently have three players averaging 10+ points per game, so they have many options to score tomorrow.

MJ Randolph - 18.5
DJ Jones - 12
Jalen Speer - 11.5

Double-Digit Scoring

The Rattlers have had 12 double-digit scorers through four games.

MJ Randolph - 3
Jalen Speer - 2
DJ Jones - 2
Kameron Reaves - 2
Dimingus Stevens - 1
Jamir Williams - 1
Legend Stamps - 1

Taking Care of the Basketball

The Rattlers look to continue limiting their turnovers as they currently have the 82nd fewest turnovers in the nation.

Scouting the Highlanders

•
Scoring won't be easy as the Highlanders have one of the best defenses in the nation, allowing only 59.3 points per game (No. 43 in the nation).
• The Highlanders' defensive strength is three-point defense and rebounding. They're no. five in the nation for three-point defense (21.7%) and no. 21 in total rebounds (257).
• Offensively, the Highlanders spread the scoring as six players average at least seven points per game, and their leading scorer is JP Moorman II averaging 11.7 points per game.

The Rattlers play UC-Riverside Friday, November 26, at 2 p.m. Pacific.
