MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. | The Florida A&M University men's golf team opened play on Monday with a pair of rounds at the Bash at the Beach Tournament at the Surf Golf and Beach Club.
Florida A&M, which finished with 91 pars and 24 birdies, shot a two-round total of 596 and is 11th heading into Tuesday's final round.
UNC Wilmington leads the field after firing a 17-under-par 559. Jacksonville State is second at 566, while Tennessee Tech (566), host Appalachian State (567), Eastern Kentucky (573), UT-Arlington (576), Queen's University of Charlotte (579), Loyola-Chicago (579), George Washington (584) and East Carolina B Team (585).
Long Island (611), Pennsylvania B Team (614), Maryland Eastern Shore (619) and Pennsylvania A Team (626) rounded out the 15-team field.
Mulbe Dillard is tied for 50th through two rounds with a 147, while
Logan Bryant is tied for 62nd at 150.
Cameron Riley and
Isaiah Shaw each fired 151s and are tied for 66th, while
Mahindra Lutchman carded a 153.
Jesus Montenegro, of Jacksonville State, holds a one-shot lead over Queen's University of Charlotte's Taisuke Ono and A. Segundo Oliva Pinto, of UNC Wilmington.
The Rattlers conclude the final roud of the tournament on Tuesday.
