Rattlers fall at top-ranked Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. | Kyle Coleman surrendered five runs, two via the long ball, as the Florida A&M University offense could not get anything going in a 5-0 loss to top-ranked Florida on Wednesday night at Alfred A McKethan Stadium at Perry Field.

Florida A&M (4-6), which saw its three-game win streak snapped, finished with three hits stranded five runners. Meanwhile, Florida (13-0) remained undefeated to begin the season and pouned out nine hits, including five extra-base hits.

How It Happened
Florida pushed across a run in the bottom of the second as Jacob Young led off the frame with a double and came across to score on a two-out base hit to left by Josh Rivera.

Florida added another run in the third as Jud Fabian, who was robbed of a leadoff homer in the first inning by Seyjuan Lawrence, reached on an error and scored on a Jordan Butler double down the right field line, extended the Gators advantage to 2-0.
The Gators put the game out of reach with three runs in the fifth.

Nathan Hickey led off the frame with a towering homer of the scoreboard in right and Jordan Butler belted a two-run homer just inside the right field foul pole, chasing starter Kyle Coleman, as Florida pushed the margin to 5-0.
