FORT MYERS, Fla. | The Florida A&M University men's tennis team returned to action on Saturday night with a 6-1 loss to Florida Gulf Coast at the FGCU Tennis Complex.
The Eagles won the double point and defeated FAMU, 5-1 in singles play to pick up the win.
In singles action,
Eliott Ekindi defeated Guglielmo Stefanacci in a thriller. Ekindi dropped the opening set, 6-0, but won the second, 7-6, in which he won the tiebreaker, 7-3. In the third set, Ekindi cruised to the 10-3 victory.
Florida A&M returns to the courts next weekend at the Southern Miss Spring Invitational. The Rattlers will face off against Alcorn State at 10 a.m. on Friday and conclude the weekend against host Southern Miss at 10 a.m on Saturday.
