TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Mar. 8) – The FAMU Football team will hold its first formal Spring Training period in two years beginning
Friday at 6:00 a.m. in Bragg Memorial Stadium.
Head Coach Alex Wood and his staff will put the 2017 Rattler prospects through their paces for the first time since the Spring of 2015, during a 10-day schedule which will feature a number of early morning sessions in Bragg Stadium, along with mid-morning Saturday practices leading up to the April 15Spring Game.
FAMU was restricted from Spring drills in 2016 due to NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) sanctions, which were lifted during the Fall.
The 2017 Orange and Green Game will be Saturday, April 15 at 2:00 p.m. in Bragg Memorial Stadium. Admission will be free.
FAMU's annual Pro Day, during which the program will showcase graduated players, as well as rising seniors for professional talent scouts, will be held on Tuesday, March 28th starting at 1:30 p.m. at the Tookes Recreational Center.
The Rattlers are slated to open the 2017 regular season on Saturday, August 26 against Texas Southern in the Sports Hall of Fame Game in Bragg Memorial Stadium.
