Ron Dugans enters the 2026 season as Florida A&M’s Pro Scout Liaison and Wide Receivers Coach, bringing more than two decades of experience coaching and developing pass-catchers at the Power 4 and NFL levels.
A Tallahassee native and standout at Florida A&M University Developmental Research School (FAMU DRS), Dugans starred at Florida State from 1995-99, helping the Seminoles win the 1999 national championship. He was selected in the third round (No. 66 overall) of the 2000 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals and played four seasons in the NFL.
Dugans began his coaching career at Florida State as a graduate assistant (2005-06) before adding NFL experience with the Bengals and building a strong collegiate résumé with stops at Georgia Southern (WR), Louisville (WR), South Florida (WR) and Miami (WR / passing game coordinator / co-offensive coordinator). He later returned to Florida State to coach wide receivers from 2019-24.
