Ria Floyd became the special projects & marketing coordinator at Florida A&M University in January 2020. Previously, Floyd joined the FAMU athletics staff as the director of stakeholder engagement in July 2019.
Floyd, a native of Gulfport, Mississippi, before joining athletics worked as the coordinator of student engagement at FAMU. Floyd has served as an assistant coach for the FAMU cheer and spirit team, along with serving as the head coach for the FAMU Development Research School cheer and spirit team.
Floyd has also worked as a MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) College Day Ambassador and at the NFL Pro Bowl Experience as a coordinator for fan engagement.
Floyd is a two-time alum of FAMU, earning a bachelor's in health science (pre-physical therapy) and a master's in sport management. Floyd was also a varsity cheerleader at FAMU and served as a captain during her tenure.
