Elijah Haggard is a collegiate football coach and defensive specialist currently serving as the Florida A&M Special Teams Coordinator Interior Defensive Line Coach.
Haggard comes from the University of Buffalo and was its Defensive Analyst and Assistant Director of Recruiting. In his role, he supports the defensive staff as a liaison to the coordinator, assists with coaching linebackers/outside linebackers/nickels, helps organize special teams work in practice, and manages recruiting responsibilities across Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, and Tennessee.
Prior to Buffalo, Haggard coached at Albany State University as the Defensive Run Game Coordinator, Special Teams Coordinator, and Defensive Line Coach, where his units ranked among the top in Division II—highlighted by a top-10 kickoff defense in 2023 and multiple SIAC all-conference honorees. He also gained FBS experience as a graduate assistant at the University of Memphis (defensive line) and the University of North Alabama (linebackers), contributing to weekly game planning, opponent breakdowns, scout team coordination, and special teams preparation.
A University of Tennessee at Martin alumnus, Haggard earned his B.S. in Secondary Education before completing an M.S. in Sport and Hospitality Management at the University of Memphis.
