Charone Williams

Coach Charone Williams joined Florida A&M in the spring of 2023.

Known as 'Coach C,' he's had a big impact on the sport, being part of five state championship teams. His coaching journey began at P.K. Younge, where he helped both the Boys and Girls teams win state championships in 2005 and the Boys team win in 2006. He continued this success at Flagler Palm Coast, where he coached the Boys team to titles in 2007 and 2009.

Coach C's college coaching career began at the University of North Florida from 2011 to 2013. There, he coached Dante Boldin to a championship in the 60m Hurdles.

From 2013 to 2016, he coached at Coastal Carolina University, guiding several athletes to conference championships.

His coaching journey continued at the University at Buffalo from 2016 to 2023, where he mentored many athletes to conference titles and even All-American honors.

Before becoming a coach, Coach C was an athlete himself, competing in the 400m Hurdles for Auburn University Track and Field from 2001 to 2004.

Coach C graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2010 with a degree in Sociology.

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, he began his track and field journey at Jean Ribault Senior High School in 2001.
