Karen Brown enters her second season at the helm of the Lady Rattlers Bowling team. She was hired in December of 2012 to continue the winning tradition associated with Rattlers sports bringing forth her knowledge, experience, competitiveness, work ethics and the es-­‐ sence of success to the program. Since arriving, she has guided the lady rattlers to 3rd place in the 2013 MEAC Championship tournament and Southern Division.

In addition to being FAMU’s Head Bowling Coach, Brown works in the department of Facili-­‐ ties Planning and Construction as Associate Director.

Brown is a certified bowling instructor with over 20 years of combined bowling experience as an athlete and competitive bowler. She has amassed amateur bowling Championships on the National, Regional and local levels. Additionally she has reached bowling perfection with the coveted 300 game and associated honors.

Brown is married to Assistant Coach Al Brown and have five children and seven grandchil-­‐ dren.
