BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Florida A&M delivered a statement performance at the UAB Blazer Green and Gold Invite, showcasing elite speed, record-breaking efforts, and depth across events as the Rattlers continued to establish themselves as one of the premier indoor programs among HBCUs — and well beyond.

Competing against a strong regional field, Florida A&M Rattlers piled up event wins, NCAA-caliber marks, and multiple personal records, highlighted by a meet record in the hurdles, national top-15 performances in the jumps, and eye-opening sprint times that vaulted Rattlers up the national and HBCU leaderboards.

Meet Highlights

· Leonard Mustari (Sr.) set the tone with a meet-record 7.65 to win the men's 60m hurdles, confirming his status as one of the nation's elite hurdlers.
· Diandrenique Gaines (Sr.) captured the women's 60m title in 7.36, a time that ranks No. 1 among HBCUs and top 10 nationally.
· Randell Pompey (So.) soared 2.11m (6-11.00) in the men's high jump, placing No. 1 among HBCUs and top 15 in the NCAA.
· Jade-Ann Smith (So.) dominated the women's triple jump with a winning leap of 12.34m (40-6.00), earning top-25 NCAA and top-3 HBCU status.
· Darien Lawrence (Sr.) blazed 21.21 in the men's 200m, ranking top 15 nationally and top 5 among HBCUs.
· Janaree Kinchen (Fr.) and Kiersten Clark (Sr.) delivered breakout performances in the women's 200m, both posting top-25 NCAA times.
