Rattlers set to play Alabama A&M in SWAC semifinals

NEW ORLEANS, La. –– Florida A&M tennis begins their quest to repeat tomorrow morning with their first match of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament versus 6-seed Alabama A&M.

The Rattlers face the Bulldogs for the second time this season as they won 4-1. The Rattlers won the doubles point, and wins from Rebekkah Gaines, Sara Rakim, and Genesis Whitelock secured the win.

Florida A&M comes into the match with three All-SWAC players in Gaines (First Team), Rakim (Second Team), and Whitelock (Second Team). Rattlers also have the coach of the year, Coach Houston.

Alabama A&M enters the match having upset 4-seed Southern Jaguars 4-3. The match begins at 9 a.m. Central Time at the City Park Tennis Center.
