Coach Houston, Rebekkah Gaines, Sara Rakim, Genesis Whitelock earned SWAC superlatives

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –– Florida A&M tennis is ready to defend their championship this weekend, but before they begin their journey, the Southwestern Athletic Conference announced their yearly awards.
 
Coach Houston earned recognition for the second straight season by being named the Co-Coach of the Year after leading the Rattlers to an 8-1 record and secured the number one seed in the tournament.
 
Rebekkah Gaines earned her second straight All-SWAC First Team for position one after going 5-0 in SWAC play. 
 
Sara Rakim earned SWAC honors for the second straight season, being named to the All-SWAC Second Team for position two. Rakim went 8-1 for the season and 6-1 from position two.
 
Genesis Whitelock earned SWAC honors for the second straight season, being named to the All-SWAC Second Team for position four. Whitelock was 2-0 this season.
