FLOWOOD, Miss. — Florida A&M golf had a slow start on day one of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Championship finishing in fourth with a 297 (+9). 

Rattlers were led by Patrick Jean-Pierre with a 73 (+1). Patrick Mwendapole and Miles Taylor followed with a 74 (+2). Marcus Taylor and Taylor Bell both finished with a 76 (+4). 

The Rattlers will begin day two behind Prairie View A&M (293, +5), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (284, -4), and Alabama State (281, -7).
