TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –– Florida A&M tennis is back on track after defeating Southern 4-1 in a long match that saw the teams play a four-hour match due to weather.
The Rattlers were off to a slow start, losing the doubles point as teams of Susan Salinas and Reagan Harris (1-6) and Veronica Rodriguez and Sara Rakim (3-6) lost their matches.
Despite falling early, the Rattlers battled back, winning four straight singles points with wins from Rakim (6-2, 6-0), Sierra Sandy (6-4, 6-4), Harris (6-4, 6-4) and Salinas (1-6, 6-3, 7-5).
The Rattlers are back in action next Saturday, March 30, at 2 p.m. Eastern versus Bethune-Cookman.
