Barrera Named SWAC Runner of the Week

Sierra Barrera claimed a third-place finish in their first collegiate XC meet.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Sierra Barrera's first collegiate cross-country meet was made even sweeter Wednesday (Sept. 13) when the freshman was named the Southwestern Athletic Conference's Runner of the Week. Barrera was the first to cross the finish line for Florida A&M, helping the team to a second-place finish at the TCC Open (Sept. 8), with a time of 20:47.00.

The accolade marks the Rattlers' first of the 2023 season.
