NEW ORLEANS, La. –– Florida A&M tennis is set to play Alabama A&M in the SWAC Women's Tennis Championship Saturday, April 22, at 9 a.m. Central, at the City Park Pepsi Tennis Center.

The Rattlers are coming off a perfect 9-0 conference regular season and claiming the 2023 SWAC Regular Season Championship. They will face the Bulldogs for the second time this season with a spot in the championship game on the line.

What Happened Last Time

The Rattlers took the doubles point as Veronica Rodriguez and Susan Salinas won 6-2, and Genesis Whitelock and Reagan Harris won 6-4.

The Rattlers went on to win three of four singles as Sara Rakim (6-2, 6-3), Reagan Harris (5-7, 6-3, 6-2), and Susan Salinas (6-2, 6-3) won their singles to give the Rattlers their fourth SWAC win of the season. The Rattlers gave the Bulldogs their first conference loss of the season.
