NEW ORLEANS, La. –– Florida A&M tennis dominated the regular season, going undefeated and winning the regular season championship. They continue to dominate as they earn the SWAC Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and four All-SWAC honors.
Sara Rakim - Player of the Year | Position Three First Team
Rakim dominated for the Rattlers posting a 6-1 record in singles play (2-1 at two spot, 4-0 at three spot). As a doubles player, Rakim went 4-1 with her partner Sierra Sandy.
Genesis Whitelock - Freshman of the Year
Genesis Whitelock couldn't lose in singles play, going 6-0 (3-0 at four spot, 3-0 at five spot). Whitelock also had a 6-1 doubles record with her partner Reagan Harris.
Rebekkah Gaines - Position One First Team
Rebekkah Gaines went 2-0 from the one spot and had a 3-0 doubles record with her partner Veronica Rodriguez.
Veronica Rodriguez - Position Two Second Team
Veronica Rodriguez had a 2-0 record in singles play from the two spot. Rodriguez showed to be the Rattlers best doubles player posting a 6-0 conference record (3-0 with Rebekkah Gaines and 3-0 with Susan Salinas).
Reagan Harris - Position Six First Team
Reagan Harris was the most dominant player from the six spot in the SWAC as she went 4-0 from the six spot. Harris was also 6-1 in doubles play with her partner Genesis Whitelock.
