MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Florida A&M tennis continues to dominate the SWAC, winning their sixth straight match to remain undefeated, beating Alabama State 4-2.
The Rattlers started off on the right foot, winning the doubles point 2-1 as Sara Rakim and Sierra Sandy (6-2), and Veronica Rodriguez and Susan Salinas (6-4) clinched the point for FAMU.
The Rattlers continued their success, winning three of five singles matches. Alabama State took the first two singles points before Genesis Whitelock (6-3, 6-4), Rakim (7-5, 6-3), and Sandy (6-2, 1-6, 7-6) took the next three to win the match.
The Rattlers travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana next weekend for two SWAC matches versus Southern and Prairie View A&M.
