TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –– Florida A&M tennis got off to a great start winning the doubles points, but ultimately fell to the Gamecocks 5-2.
Sierra Sandy and
Sara Rakim got it started for the Rattlers winning their doubles match 6-1 before
Reagan Harris, and
Genesis Whitelock dropped their match 6-1. Rebekkah Gaines and
Veronica Rodriguez came up big as they went on to win their match 6-4 to give the Rattlers a 1-0 lead.
In singles play, the Rattlers struggled as everyone lost their match except for Whitelock (2-6, 6-4, 10-8).
The Rattlers travel to Orlando to play Oakland University in a neutral match at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 26, at the USTA National Tennis Center.
