Rattler TF Begins Indoor Season at Clemson Opener

Florida A&M track and field begins its indoor schedule Friday (Dec. 8) at the Clemson Opener. Field events start at 10 a.m. and will be followed by track events at 11:25 a.m.

Recapping Last Season

• Florida A&M welcomed Garfield Ellenwood II as its Director of Track & Field and Cross Country in Jan. 2023
• Coach Ellenwood recently guided the Rattler XC program to its first Southwestern Athletic Conference championship title; he has also coached former Rattlers Teleda Williams and Pache' Caldwell to NCAA East Preliminary outdoor qualifications
• FAMU earned seven medals at the 2023 SWAC Indoor Championships; Dajon Clark, the lone returning medalist, claimed the long jump title while also finishing second in the 60-meter race

The Rattlers finished the 2023 indoor season with 10 "Top 5" marks/times on the SWAC's Indoor Performance List; three returners will look to improve upon those efforts.
