TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –– Florida A&M tennis lost to a pair of Sun Belt schools this weekend, losing to Troy (5-2) on Saturday, Jan. 28 in Troy, and to Southern Mississippi (4-2) on Sunday, Jan. 29 in Tallahassee.
Saturday, Jan. 28, at Troy (L, 5-2)
The Rattlers got off to the start they wanted winning the doubles point but lost five of the six singles matches as Reagan Harris was the only Rattler to win her singles match (7-5, 7-6).
Sunday, Jan. 29, vs. Southern Mississippi (L, 4-2)
Like the day before, the Rattlers took the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead. Veronica Rodriguez won her singles match (6-3, 6-4) to take a 2-0 lead before Southern Mississippi won the next four matches to win the game.
The Rattlers will travel to Tampa to play South Florida on Friday, Feb. 3, before returning to Tallahassee to play North Florida on Sunday, Jan. 5.
