Rattler Tales - Donor Spotlight: Natalie White

Florida A&M University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has introduced a series called Rattler Tales. Rattler Tales is an opportunity for our department to tell our story – from the point of view of the student-athletes, coaches, administrative staff and as donors and fans.

Why do you give (donate to the Rattler Athletic Fund, buy season tickets) to FAMU Athletics?
As an alum, it is our duty to give back to help provide for others and to help with budget relieving line items for athletics.

Tell us about some of the best FAMU Athletics memories that you have.
My all-time favorite is looking up in the stands at Gaither to see President Frederick S. Humphries cheering for our women's basketball team and for giving me shout outs...Let's go "Pocketbook" (my nickname on the court). Second would be the 1995 MEAC Champs and advancing to NCAA Tournament (1st time in school history). Third, the opportunity to represent FAMU student-athletes through the All-American Foundation and mentor middle school kids during the summer.

Why should others give (donate to the Rattler Athletic Fund, buy season tickets) to FAMU Athletics?
FAMU has given us more than we can ever repay! Giving shows how much we care, encourages our students to strive harder and we have an obligation to do everything with Excellence.

Any additional comments
I bleed orange and green! With my FAMU education and my accolades being part of a winning women's basketball team opened so many doors for my career in sports management and I am forever grateful. My experience on the Hill was so much more than I could have ever imagined. #10 Jersey Retired, Hall of Fame and outstanding academic success (B.A. and M.S.).
