Harden picks up singles win in FAMU loss

Box Score FORT MYERS, Fla. | Rachel Harden earned a singles victory, but the Florida A&M dropped a 6-1 decision to Florida Gulf Coast at the FGCU Tennis Complex on Saturday morning.
 
The Lady Rattlers (0-7) dropped the doubles point as Julia Fisch and Sara Kelly defeated Adrienne Clayton and Arielle Nealy, 6-1, while Ida Ferding and Satomi Momose knocked off Ofure Osabuohien and Harden. 6-3.

In singles play, Harden earned a hard-fought 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-7 victory at No. 2 over Momose, but Florida Gulf Coast won the match with victories at No. 6, No. 5, No. 4, No. 1 and No. 3.
 
Florida A&M returns to action on Tuesday with a home match against Mercer. First serve is set for 2 p.m. from the FAMU Tennis Center.
