Tennis Teams Finish In Top Three At HBCU Tourney

ATLANTA, Ga. (Sept. 20) -  The FAMU Tennis teams competed in the 2015 HBCU National Tennis Tournament, Sept. 18-20, recording top three finishes against a field of 12 teams.

@ Coach Nikki Goldthreate's Women's Tennis team finished No. 2 overall in the Women's Division, placing five players in competition. Arrice Robinson finished first in the Flight C Singles, while  Robinson and Shantal Blackwood reached the finals in the Flight B Doubles.

@ In the Men's Division, Dr. Carl Goodman's team placed No. 3 overall in the final team standings, sparked by the play of Courage Okungbowa, who won the B Flight Singles. Okungbowa paired with Walner Espinoza to reach the finals in the A Flight Doubles.
